Night Trains in Romania

The Night Trains in Romania, EuroNight, FastTrain and InterRegio, are old but decent trains to let yourself be transported by during the night. There are plenty of options for sleeping accomodations. Such as simple straight-up seats or shared compartments. Romaniais a lovely country to explore by Night Trains. From various cities you can travel all the way towards Austria, Greece, Hungary, Moldova, Turkey and Ukraine.

EuroNight 346/347 (Dacia) operates between Bucharest and Wien via Budapest.


From Romania to Hungary

FastTrain 78/79/1695/1696 operates between Bucharest and Budapest, via Timisoara.
EuroNight 346/347 (Dacia) operates between Bucharest and Wien, via Budapest.
FastTrain 406/407 (Corona) operates between Brasov and Budapest.
EuroNight 472/473 (Ister) operates between Bucharest and Budapest, via Brasov.


From Romania to Moldova

InterRegio 401/402 (Prietenia) operates between Bucharest and Chisinau.


From Romania to Turkey

FastTrain 464/465 (Bosphorus) operates between Bucharest and Istanbul.
The train does not continue beyond suburb Istanbul Halkali, where you can transfer on the metro. Have some Turkish Lira’s available (you can ask the conductor on the train for exchange) to buy an Istanbul Transportation Card.
