Night Trains in Norway

The Night Trains in Norway, Regiontog and SJ Nattåg, are of excellent quality. There are plenty of options for sleeping accomodations. Such as simple straight-up seats or shared compartments. These Norwegian Night Trains can bring you all the way to Stavanger and Bergen in the west and Trondheim and Bodø in the north. There is one Swedish Night Train that goes all the way to isolated Narvik.

The railway from Oslo to Bergen is among the most prettiest in Europe. It is highly recommended that you travel this route during daytime at least once. A nice stop to break up your journey is Myrdal. From Myrdal multiple trains travel the short distance to Flåm where you can hike in the fjords.

Imagine a stunning view of the fjords around Oslo. And then again a whole different view once you wake up! Followed by a delicious breakfast. Taking the Night Train is amazing. And it also saves you money on hotel costs.

For all Night Trains a sleeper supplement is required with Interrail.
