Dublin

Destination #29 – Dublin. In Dublin’s fair city, where the girls are soooo pretty. I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malooooone, as she wheeled her wheelbarrow through streeds broad and narrow. Crying cockleeeees and musseeeels a-live a-live o (The Dubliners, Molly Malone). A-live a-live oooooooooooh.

Thats exactly the description of Dublin. It’s incredibly booming and as the Dutch would say: ‘gezellig’. Thé most enjoyable city I’ve been too. There are pubs with live music everywhere – especially in the Temple Bar area, which is stunningly pretty and touristic. Even on the streets you’ll find live music and people enjoying themselves. Although it is probably not the most easiest-to-reach destination – especially not with Interrail – it’s definitely worth visiting it. By the way, if you have an Interrail ticket you’ll get a 30% discount on the ferry’s between the UK and Ireland. Best of all: you’ll travel through the popular city of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (try to pronounce that!). Besides getting yourselves drunk (which I think is the purpose of Dublin), there’s actually a rather pretty city around it as well. The view from the Ha’penny Bridge on the River Liffey of the sunny Dublin is stunning. Last year I’ve been to Dublin as well, with friends, definitely worth recommending staying at least a weekend. The perfect farewell destination of my trip! Thanks to NS International and Eurostar I will end my trip in pure class… they’ve arranged a list-minute ‪#‎Eurostar‬ for me, which will bring me from London to Brussels in just 2 hours (that’s fast) this afternoon!! Even the check-in at the airport takes longer than that. Unfortunately for me Eurostar doesn’t go to Amsterdam yet, but that’ll change next year. With one more over-night stay I will arrive in pretty Amsterdam Friday morning, my very last destination. Looking forward to the Eurostar!!! Oh and I want to say one more thing about the Virgin Trains in the UK: I luv them – now they’ve given me complementary chicken sandwiches and cheese “crisps” :3, after being filled with tea, soda and cake. What a perfect end of my journey.
